recording of a live audio performance/installation at the montreal museum of contemporary art on june 5/05 as part of the mutek festival. multimedia duo skoltz_kolgen invited eight international sound artists to collaborate with their video installation askaa, where visuals would react in real-time to the live audio. other artists invited included richard chartier, joe colley, fm3, & taylor deupree.     the work of multimedia and sound artist jamie drouin aka _vrsn (canadian, b.1970) explores the subtleties of sensory experience through intricately detailed patterns and textures which, while retaining references to corporeal sources, seek to expand and transform audience perceptions of familiar habitat.

torqued ellipses (for richard serra) - 25:06 (2006)

live recording of my contribution to le placard headphone festival, torqued ellipses uses sounds derived from subtly interacting with richard serra's steel sculptures of the same name, as well as recordings collected during the train trip to the dia art foundation outside of new york city.

exhibited and performed worldwide, including solo exhibitions in japan, germany and canada.

new projects include pica, a live minimalist techno collaboration with artist/dj michael pettit.
