Martin Bédard
Residence: Montréal, Canada
After studying for five years with composers Yves Daoust and André Fecteau, Martin Bédard received the magna cum laude prize in electroacoustic composition at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. In 2011, he completed a PhD in electroacoustic composition under composer Robert Normandeau at the Université de Montréal. Bédard’s works have been programmed by over fifty national and international events. He has won or has been selected in twelve international competitions, including an Awards of Distinction at the 2010 Prix Ars electronica (Linz, Austria). Bédard also teaches auditory perception, composition and analysis of electroacoustic music at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, and electroacoustic composition at Université de Montréal.
