Ben Syms-Wilson

Residence: Kingston, Canada

Canadian songwriter Benjamin (Ben) Syms-Wilson was born in Guelph (Ontario) and was humming along to Beatles songs before he could walk or talk. In 2018, he released his first EP, 20 & Blue online. The EP contained the Calvin Harris-influenced 20 and the jazzy interlude Midnight in Toronto. In 2019, Ben released his first album I Hope You Play This in Your Car, which featured the Jake Halay and Michel Kraus de Camargo collaborative effort Apartment 5, and a full version of Midnight in Toronto with fleshed out production. While finding his voice and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ben is still an obsessive fan of artful pop music, and the music zeitgeist as a whole.
