Victoria Fenner
Residence: Hamilton, Canada
Victoria Fenner is a Canadian audio artist who has spent the past three decades exploring the medium of sound. Her involvement in Audio Art began in 1982 at Vancouver Cooperative Radio, where she produced the “newsounds gallery”, an exploration of the artistic possibilities of radio. Since that time, she has produced many pieces of her own, and has curated the nationally distributed Canadian audio art radio series “Radiant Dissonance,” now in its third edition. She has worked for CBC Radio in many capacities, including research and concept development for the ten-part series “Ultrasonique — The Sound Art of Quebec.” She also produces and creates media art making workshops for artists of all disciplines, including the Full Moon Audio Art Camp, a week-long sound art retreat in the bush.
