Kari Besharse

Kari Besharse is a composer of both electroacoustic and acoustic music. Her works have been presented by organizations and venues such as the LaTex Festival, Society of Composers, Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival, Electronic Music Midwest, The Texas Computer Musicians Network, Pulse Field, The LaTex Festival, and June in Buffalo. Small Things was recently selected for a Bourges Residence Award that was completed at the University of Birmingham Electroacoustic Music Studios. Kari received her Bachelors degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and her Masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently working towards her doctoral degree at the University of Illinois, amidst the inspiring soy and cornfields of Champaign-Urbana.
