Frank Levin

Residence: Vancouver, Canada

Levin was born and began piano studies in Ottawa. He later studied composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and songwriting with film composer Gary Remal. He mainly composes expressive, melodic piano works, songs and small ensemble pieces. His eclectic classical/popular crossover style draws inspiration from a variety of sources including the classics, popular music, jazz, blues, ragtime and folk songs. Two CDs of his piano music, Morning to Midnight and San Francisco Souvenirs have been recorded by concert pianist, Scott Pratt, and several holiday season songs were recorded by cabaret diva, Wesla Whitfield. His student compositions for piano have been published by Schaum, Boston, The Willis and Mel Bay Publications. More information is available on his website.
