Sacha Ratcliffe

Residence: Montréal, Canada

Sacha Ratcliffe is a sound designer and graphic designer, based in Montréal. Since completing a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, specializing in Film Production from Concordia University’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Sacha has been working on her creative practice, building a considerable body of sound-based media projects. As sound designer, Sacha has collaborated with many visual artists and filmmakers, including Matthew Rankin on his most recent short film, Tesla: World Light (2017), which will be presented at Cannes in the Semaine de la Critique section. Her installation Noises of the Unknown was presented in Marseille, France, in 2015. Her new sound installation Les Ondes du Bonheur will be showcased at the artist-run Montréal centre Espace Cercle Carré in May 2017. Her next ambitious project is to produce her first studio album, a project that will take shape in 2017, thanks to the generous support of PRIM via their production assistance programme.
