In Gathering (one of several short works which together complete Unheard Voices, Ancient Spaces) the listener strains to discern the creaking of trees in the forest amidst outbursts of cello sounds. Slowly, an encircling and soft murmuring builds in tempo and tension to the collective voice of great and ancient towering trees.
