All the Way with LBJ David R. Mooney

This piece uses phone conversations between Lyndon Johnson and advisors concerning the Vietnam War. My original notes looked back: “…it was impossible to come of age in the sixties in the United States and not be seriously affected by the conflict.” Now (April 3, 2003) it has renewed relevance. The United States again has a president who cannot see an alternative to war. Texts recorded from History and Politics Out Loud (www.hpol.org) with permission.
