Jethart’s Here James Wyness

The Scottish Border towns celebrate their old traditions by choosing a young man to represent the spirit of the town. In Jethart (Jedburgh) the young “Callant” is chosen during a week of ritual, song, speeches, horse rideouts and festivities. “Jethart’s Here” is a recording of the principal events of the final two days of this modern day initiation rite.
