This piece was composed for the audio-visual installation “Au-delà des apparences” by T. St-Pierre. The entire project is about beauty; the apparent superficial beauty and the corresponding darker historical and psychological aspects of beauty: about what the female body and mentality have been through for a normative beauty. Most of the sounds have been chosen from the installation accessories and furniture. The composition and the mix is achieved using a specifically designed algorithmic composition tool. In itself, the sound track is a slowly evolving atmosphere enhancing the installation visual ambience by superimposing sounds from the installation’s visual components.
