Extensions II (guitar) (1974 — 8:19)- This piece was created especially for a vinyl release on the Melbourne label title Guitar Extensions. This is the final work which I did at the University of Toronto studio. It‚s a very dense piece with roughly sixty layers of over dubbed and treated classical guitar sound sources, many of which were processed acoustically before recording, in the “prepared guitar” tradition. All of my previous envelope shaping and ring modulation techniques were advanced here with random panning.
