Mnemonius: that dream of liquid melodies Dante Tanzi

That dream of liquid melodies has been conceived as the landscape of a submerged world. Beginning with an enunciation of a melodic theme, which gradually slows down and becomes fragmentary, the piece continues with fragments of sonorous material, suspended while overlapping different musical times. When the second melodic theme appears, it rests on fluctuating voices accompanied by rather sharp and distorted-like sounds. The final section is sprinkled with sounds suggesting distant engines, which gradually fade away. Today, thanks to film soundtracks submarine sounds are a familiar experience, but Verne’s creative imagination was such that readers could imagine, could actually hear sounds that still today haven’t been created.
