Microcosm Erik Nyström
Microcosm was in its entirety composed from a short recording of the buzz from a Big Muff fuzz pedal. The material was exposed to a variety of processing, most notably hand-drawn waveform alterations, and is characterised by a very harsh and disruptive sound image. Important formal aspects are speed and the dialectic relationships between fast moving noisy textures and sustained gestures.
