So Be It (2000)11:02
So Be It is a new work composed during year 2000 using an old ”electronic” feel to the composition. It has also an interrelation with instrumental music, causing the two opposites to both blend and appear in contrast.
The instrument can be seen both as a soloist trying to be considered as such, or the member of the ”symphonic team”, contributing with their parts.
The grains which appear as fast disappearing elements is a retrospect of the early electronic music, but here it has taken the role of a wellknown object that places the listener through memory in the 60’s and 70’s.
The voice has been a common source of inspiration for Grippe in his last pieces, here we can cite examples such as ”Shifting Spirits” on BIS 820, ”Voix Insolites” from 2000 and the vocally altered sounds in ”Enigma Frame” also written in year 2000.
Written and often performed with Voix Insolites and Enigma Frame
