Log Driver Error was made from two simple ingredients: a field recording I made of the annual wine parade from out my apartment window in my hometown and my trusty old sampler. The initial recording was captured in stereo and the final work should be listened to in stereo as well. The premise of the piece is to reinterpret a Canadian classic, Log Driver’s Waltz, in an area when the timber industry is suffering and the confusion around its future lingers at a stand still.
