Viande à chien Marc-André Labelle

I wanted to translate the expression “Viande à chien!” of the mythical character Séraphin Poudrier to music. Seraphin is a name used in Québec to denounce a stingy and ruthless individual. I wanted to show the mediocrity of the character through the use of filthy materials. In this piece, we find sounds created from dogs chewing on bones, chain saws, motorcycle humming and shards of glass. Viande à chien unfolds over time like all good evenings that end at the corner bar in front of a metal band that plays too loud.
