Westall UFO Incident is a piece created from analogue synthesizers at Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio — the Korg PS3300 and Buchla modular system. The piece explores an unusual story: in 1966, a UFO was seen by over 200 school students in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. The soundscape evokes the fear, awe and magic of the strange sighting in a flexible tuning system made up by the composer and improvised on.
