This soundscape stems from my experience of losing the ability to walk for a time, living as a minority language speaker, as well as my child’s experience of their non-binary gender identity. And why is a doubt in a person’s ability (to live? to exist?) created in some viewers’ minds when we cannot fit in perfectly (in movement, language, gender…). This creation is a constant oscillation between construction and deconstruction in the form of a walk towards imperfection as a state of being.
