Hybridation Gabrielle Caux
The piece was composed mainly from recordings of birdsong. The continuous drone buzz comes from the accumulation of small metals. The piece has an intuitive temporal deployment where the form is propelled by matter. I. worked with bird sounds to feel reconnected with nature. I. wanted to free myself from the constraints of space and meet the need to be somewhere else. I. had fun with synthesis and the bird became electrified. During this project I developed an interest in creating soundscapes. An endless quest to find worlds that don’t exist.
