Cadence Liam Mullen

Created during the advent of spring, Cadence signals to closure, and the breath before entering a new instant. The work focuses on sonically generating a space for quiet contemplation, a. cognitive architecture, in which the listener is encouraged to ground themselves, sit with the essence of their soul as it transitions and traverses, seeking closure in this current period of mourning and providing an entry (or series of entries) into a space of possibility. In its sonically cycling form, Cadence uplifts the multiplicity of endings and new, taking notice of the varied-yet-intimately-similar experiences faced within the current, and ever-changing, social landscape, tuning in and out of affective resonances and prompting socially-distanced effervescence through listening.
