Renversements (2021)12:14
Since the pandemic, the soundscapes of our everyday life have greatly changed. From the busy markets to crowded parks, we now find ourselves with empty downtowns and sparse streets. In the cloisters of our homes, we are living a new social, visual and sonic paradigm. Renversements is a personal take on these new forms of soundscapes. The piece is composed of three movements each representing a utopia I imagined during my meditations. This binaural composition is a collage made solely of field recordings I did during the pandemic. There is no synthesis, only simple sound manipulations (filtering, delay, reverberation). It is best enjoyed with headphones.
